OJO Engagement Party 103: Th 7 – 10 at MOCA
Remember those good old days in the lecture hall? It was where you learned about the rise and fall of the Roman Empire, the Golden Mean, Mikhail Bulgakov, and other fun things that you use in the real world all the time, like how to fall asleep with your eyes open. Ahhh…those were the days. I am really impressed you honed in on your talents so they could translate professionally in board meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and heart to hearts with your therapist. You don’t even blink!
Speaking of lectures, I got our class schedules for Thursday. Don’t worry about the book list or course reader. You just need to be at MOCA at 7. It won’t be as long as Casper’s intro to cinema class, I think. Actually, this lecture will be nothing like you have ever been to before. No, it isn’t a life-coaching seminar, but good guess. It is OJO’s last installment of their residency with MOCA’s Engagement Party. And it is probably something you don’t even need to take notes on, but you will definitely remember. Taking the traditional learning environment and turning it up side down, OJO creates a subversive lesson plan, in which performance, audience interaction, and perception alteration is key. It will be like college all over again. Especially that altering perceptions part.
